Although home sales in the Oklahoma City Metro fell during the period from July 2009 and July 2010 by just over 33%, the average sales price increased by 3.8%. The Oklahoma City Metro realized an increase of 258 building permits for the first 7 months of this year over the first 7 months of 2009. While many people are sitting on the side lines waiting for housing prices to decrease, they are steadily increasing. Coupled with the low unempolyment rate and the historic low interest rates, ther has never been a better time to buy a new home in The Oklahoma City Metro. Interst rates will not stay this low and housing prices will probably continue to climb.
